William James, the American philosopher and psychologist, wrote: “The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.” The reality is that it’s not a question of escaping stress and anxiety, because I don’t believe that is possible – what I do believe though is that we need to choose to exercise better ways to consistently deal with the stress and anxiety that we are faced with in life.
